Les Ottolenghi

As a senior executive, Les provides expertise in business innovation through the use of technology to entities ranging from Fortune 500 companies, to industry-disrupting startups. His professional passion lies in expanding the creative thought process and cultivating the business discipline required to develop billion-dollar opportunities and change the competitive landscape. Having successfully deployed several industry-changing technology platforms, including the largest cybersecurity platform in the gaming industry and the first search engine for the travel industry, Les looks for big challenges that leverage modern, scalable IT network and software infrastructure, and application architectures.

In 2013, Les joined the Sands Corporation leadership team wherein he served as both CIO and CTO. He designed and deployed modern, scalable IT network and software infrastructure to replace unprofitable, siloed legacy systems. He integrated casino gaming, hospitality and resort retail systems from the leading global technology providers into a unified IT services platform, overseeing a global IT staff of over 1,000 team members. Les protected $11B in gross revenues, reversed potentially crippling cyber-attacks and drastically diminished the threat of future security breaches by creating the company’s first cyber defense organization and the largest cybersecurity initiative in the gaming industry. In 2016, Les was hired by Caesars Entertainment to digitally transform the company to cloud platforms for marketing, finance, human resources, cyber-security, gaming, hospitality and employee productivity, where he reported directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

His strengths and expertise consist of strategic planning, technology business management, IT realignment offshoring and outsourcing models, cybersecurity framework, IT governance/compliance, cloud and e-commerce solutions, and the ITIL framework. He's built two major Enterprise IT departments and three companies from the ground up, and has had the pleasure of building and providing leadership to global, cross-functional teams of up to 1,000+ employees and outsourced professionals. Les is humbled to have been described as “extraordinary” by the founder, chairman and CEO of Las Vegas Sands at the 2014 annual shareholders’ meeting. Throughout his career, Les has continuously been recognized as a leader, being the recipient of the CIO 100 Award, CIO Breakaway Leadership Award for Innovation and the CIO Breakaway Leadership for Impact Award.
